Texas Jake
TEXAS JAKE has been
performing on the "underground" blues circuit both
solo [on resonator guitar] and with electric-slide
guitar[ Les Paul] with his band the "Houserockers"
for many years. His burning passion for blues
started at an early age. At 13 years old he was
already on the road traveling with his thumb and his
guitar through the Mississippi Delta, Texas,
Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri,
and as far away as California, picking up gigs where
he could and making a lot of friends. Through the
years there have been a lot of bass-players,
drummers, keyboardist, horn-players, etc. but the
central theme has been the same---play from your
heart and make the music the best it can be!

echo the sounds of Janis Joplin, Lulu, Lydia Pense and a
little bit of Billie Holiday all swirled together.
Jennifer Tracy Kessler's
voice is 50% nightclub and 50% roadhouse. Silky smooth,

Bron Buick
Latest
EP - "JUST A THOUGHT"
-Here-
Born 1958 in London at a
very early age of Polish parents who loved music - any and
all music. Thanks to Mum's radio Bron had a great love of
rock'n'roll and then developed a fascination for the blues
that wouldn't go away. It is due to the diverse mix of
bands that he has worked with that his songwriting covers
so many musical sins and breaks a few rules along the way.

Zed Head
Harleys, Humbuckers
and Hot Roots Rock!
Zed Head is full blown, full tilt, roots
rock played with emotion, balls, conviction, and
unbelievable stage presence.
Zed Head includes totally effing hot guitar chops from one
of the best live guitarists on earth, Neil Chapman.
Fog Johnny on bass and Terry Martell on the kit form the
rock solid rhythm section of Zed Head. These guys have it
GOING ON with all three lads contributing to the full
vocal spectrum. Of course the band would not be complete
without Smilin’ Bob Adams who emphatically compliments Zed
Head’s full, powerful sound when he pulls out his
weapon...the Blues Harp.

Pete
Warner
Pete's style was developed through
years of live performances. During the eighties he
spent his time touring the south and mid-west with
a regional rock band and discovering his love for
the blues. Eventually the road and the blues
brought him to Kansas City. After a few years of
local jams and learning from blues and jazz
masters, he was discovered by Cotton Candy
Washington. He served as her sideman and section
leader 1998 through 1999.
Wanting to expand the role and recognition of the
sax in Kansas City Blues, he released the 2001
solo effort "Cheap Live Sax". Now a published
songwriter and seasoned solo performer, he
continues to pursue his love of rhythms and
textures. Still playing, experimenting and
creating...and still loving Kansas City Blues.

www.themidnightflyers.net
The Midnight
Flyers have a style heavily rooted in the blues,
ranging from slow to up tempo and rockin’. Their
sound hints at George Thorogood, ZZ Top, and
Robben Ford. Gritty vocals, attacking guitar
riffs, and a solid, rhythmic groove give this
three-piece the ability to please any audience. |
